Compass Rose Direction

The life you've worked so hard to build suddenly doesn't feel like it fits anymore.

That doesn't mean you've failed.

It probably means you've changed.

Compass Rose Direction provides Guided Discernment for thoughtful, accomplished women navigating a midlife pivot - whether the pivot was chosen or chosen for you.

My Story

I worked hard to build a good life, only to realize that the life I built didn't fit the woman I had become.

For most of my adult life, I was the high achiever — smart, hard-working, dependable, ambitious. I got the degrees, built the career, checked all the boxes. My professional success became a key part of my identity.

And then came COVID. Because I was high-risk, I spent eleven months mostly alone with the pets — brutal for an extrovert. Isolated and forced to take a break from my job, I started imagining a completely different life. I seriously researched buying land, raising fiber animals, running a full-cycle animal-to-shelf textile business, and growing truffles. I didn't do it. But it was the first time I let myself imagine an off-ramp from the life I'd worked so hard to build.

Two years later, I had my daughter, and my entire worldview flipped upside down. Success stopped meaning hosting dignitaries at swanky DC restaurants and started meaning making it home in time for dinner with my tiny tyrant. My identity was so tied to a life I no longer wanted. What did that mean for me? And what did that mean for the future?

I didn't want to blow up my entire life, but I couldn't figure out how to separate the parts I wanted to keep from the pieces that no longer served the woman I had become. I felt stuck.

That's the "is this it?" moment a lot of women recognize — 2 a.m., wide awake, wondering if the life you worked so hard for is actually the one you want. As I approached 40, those sleepless nights grew more frequent, and I knew that I needed to find a way to make a pivot.

It took me longer than it should have to find my way through it. So I built Compass Rose for other women who find themselves at a similar crossroads.

The Problem

You built a life you were proud of. Now you barely recognize it.

You're a professional, a leader, an entrepreneur, a woman of faith — navigating a shift you didn't see coming, or one you chose and still can't quite stand inside of yet.

From the outside, your life probably looks successful. But somewhere along the way, the version of success you spent years working toward stopped fitting the life you're actually living.

You don't need someone to tell you to "have better balance."
You need space to make sense of who you've become - and the courage to build a life that fits this version of you.

The Midlife Pivot

You feel disconnected from who you were — and unsure who you're becoming.

The Quiet Tension

Ambition, faith, vocation, and relationships feel like they're pulling in different directions.

The Decisions You're Avoiding

There are choices waiting — about work, family, purpose — and you need a trusted guide, not a quick fix.

The Compass Rose Approach

You don't need a new version of yourself. You need a new way of understanding the version you've become.

Together, we'll slow down long enough to untangle the competing priorities, expectations, and identities that often collide during life's biggest transitions.

This isn't about fixing you.

It's about helping you make sense of where you are, understand what matters now, and move forward with intention instead of obligation.

Because the goal isn't to get your old life back.

It's to build a life that fits the person you've become.
01

Get Honest

Separate what's actually yours from what you inherited — the expectations, the roles, the definitions of success you never consciously chose.

02

Get Clear

Clarity before consequence. We name the real decision underneath the noise, separate fact from fear, and map what every path actually costs — not just the one that sounds safest.

03

Get Moving

Not the whole answer. Just the next right-sized step — and the structure to actually follow through on it.

04

Own It

Eight private sessions. One hour each. In order. Nothing about your situation is generic enough for a template.

The Transformation

A life that reflects who you are now.

Not who you were before the shift. Not who someone else expects you to be. A life with room for ambition and tenderness, faith and questions, leadership and rest.

A life where you no longer feel like you're choosing between the parts of yourself - but learning how they belong together.

Through coaching and spiritual direction, my clients move from feeling disconnected and uncertain to living with clarity, confidence, and a life that fits the person they've become.
